DMCA / Copyright Policy

Effective: March 16, 2026

Hangeo, Inc. ("Hangeo") respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512, "DMCA"). We will respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the DMCA and other applicable law.

1. Reporting Infringement — Takedown Notice

If you believe that content on the Service infringes your copyright, submit a written notice to our designated DMCA agent (see Section 4) containing all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple works, a representative list)
  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with sufficient detail to locate it on the Service (e.g., URL, event listing ID, screenshot)
  4. Your contact information — name, address, telephone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, their agent, or the law
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

Notices that do not satisfy all statutory requirements may not be acted upon. Submitting a false or misleading notice may expose you to liability, including under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

2. Counter-Notice

If your content was removed in response to a takedown notice and you believe the removal was in error or based on misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to our DMCA agent containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that was removed, with sufficient detail to locate it prior to removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or Delaware if you are outside the US), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice

Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we may restore the removed content unless the original complainant files a court action within 10–14 business days.

3. Repeat Infringer Policy

Hangeo will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights. We maintain a policy of terminating repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances, consistent with Section 512(i) of the DMCA.
