Community Guidelines

Effective: March 16, 2026

Hangeo exists for one reason: to help dancers find their scene. Our community spans dancers, teachers, DJs, promoters, venue operators, and everyone who shows up — from someone who discovered salsa three weeks ago to someone who has been dancing for thirty years.

These guidelines define the behavior that makes that community possible. They apply to all content, conduct, and interactions on the platform — event listings, profiles, messages, community posts, and RSVP activity.

Hangeo reserves the sole and absolute right to moderate, remove, or restrict any content or account at any time. Moderation decisions are made at our discretion and are final.

What We Expect

Respect every dancer. The dance community is diverse — different styles, backgrounds, levels, cities, and cultures. Treat every person on the platform with basic dignity.

Be honest. Event listings must be accurate. Profiles must represent real people. Organizer pages must represent real organizations.

Keep it legal. Nothing on this platform may facilitate illegal activity of any kind.

Enforcement

Hangeo may respond to guideline violations with content removal, warnings, feature restrictions, temporary suspension, permanent termination, or referral to law enforcement. We do not guarantee any particular enforcement outcome, timeline, or consistency.

We moderate because we want this to be a platform dancers actually use. We make judgment calls. We will not always get it right. We do not guarantee a right of appeal or review, and moderation decisions are made at our sole discretion.

To report a violation: support@hangeo.app or use the in-app reporting feature.
